KENZO eau de fleur plum, kenzo perfume, kenzo fragrance, KENZO reviews, beauty blog, makeup reviews, makeup blog, beauty news, cosmetics blog, cosmetics reviews

In February 2009, Kenzo introduced three brand-new Japanese floral fragrances to their illustrious collection. Named the “Eaux De Fleurs” collection, Kenzo recruited three perfumers to each create a fragrance to launch the collection with three scents:  Eaux de Fleurs Silk, Magnolia and Tea.

In February 2010, Kenzo has introduced Eau de Fleur de Plum, the latest member of the Eaux de Fleurs collection! This collection of scent is inspired by the blossoms of Japanese trees.  Plum blossoms are a symbol of Spring, blooming immediately after the winter chill.  Apparently, Japanese tradition claims this blossom has powers to fend off evil!

Refined, feminine and elegant… this new powdery almond floral scent conjures up images of a woman dressed for tennis, relaxing at a country club, with rolling green hills in the background.  It’s classic elegance, captured in a bottle!

Each bottle is contained in an origami-inspired box, and is tinted in pale shades of the season. The curvy bottle is worthy of display! Promise me you won’t hide this perfume in a drawer!

Other scents include de soie silk (a fruity floral), de magnolia (a bright hesperidianfloral) and de tea (a floral with notes of green tea and musk).

A 1.7 oz. spray bottle of Eaux de Fleurs retails for $55. Check it out at Kenzousa.com.

Avir- Jasmine
Oneg- Patchouli Vanilla.

The vanilla warmth of Daily Perfume Oneg is like a warm welcoming hug on a cold day.  Not to mention… I always score compliments when I wear it!

Jo Malone makes holiday gift-giving a snap, with these adorable but oh-so-luxe travel-sized candles!

Scents like Amber & Sweet Orange, Grapefruit, Lime Blossom and Orange Blossom instantly refresh any room.  These votive candles are packaged in Jo Malone’s trademark, unassuming, apothecary style, so they are an easy accessory choice for homes with any decor.

My favorite part:  These tiny candles still make quite an olfactory impression!  They are also the perfect gift for a frequent traveler, for just a touch of a reminder of the comforts of home.

Jo Malone gifts are packaged elegantly in a cream colored box with a weighty parchment feel, and tied with a beautiful black ribbon.  The gift is gorgeous even before it’s opened!

Retail price is $35 US or $50 CDN per candle.

Jo Malone Reviews, Jo Malone Review, Vanilla & Anise review, fall 2009, holiday 2009, beauty blog, product review, makeup reviewBaby, it’s cold outside!  There’s something about the sweet and spicy vanilla scent of Jo Malone Vanilla & Anise Cologne that warms me right down to my toes.  The fragrance has a hot chocolate affect on my spirit!

One of the things I adore about Jo Malone is they not only encourage you to combine their scents to create your own signature scent… but they EDUCATE you on how to do so expertly!  For example, they recommend that Vanilla & Anise be combined with Grapefruit Cologne (to add a refreshing zest), Orange Blossom Cologne (to sweeten it up a bit), or Nutmeg & Ginger Cologne (to intensify the spicy notes).

I’m dying to increase my Jo Malone cologne collection, to create my own signature scent!

A 30mL bottle retails for $55.  A 100mL bottle retails for $100.

FLOWERBYKENZO ESSENTIELLE REVIEW!

Flower by Kenzo, flowerbykenzo, essentielle, flowerbykenzo essentielle review, kenzo reviews, makeup reviews, beauty reviews, product reviewsThe term is “Super Female”, but is better known in the medical community as Triple X Syndrome (or XXX Syndrome).  The 1 in 1,000 women born with an extra X chromosome typically stand head and shoulders above the average woman, and have a willowy slender physique.  I’ve read speculation that that many super-models can credit their thin bodies to the fact that they are indeed “Super-Female”.

The Super-Female immediately sprung to mind when I sampled the latest Kenzo fragrance, FlowerByKenzo Essentielle.  The bottle was designed to be extra-tall and super-slender.  The scent?  A romantic floral with a delicate super-feminine hint of powder.

This latest introduction by KENZO also happens to be one of my favorites, proving to me that this brand is only getting better with age.

25 mL/0.8 oz –$58

45mL/1.5 oz –$75

75mL/2.5 oz. –$92

Fire and Cream review, Strange Invisible Perfumes Review, beauty blog, makeup reviews, beauty reviews, product reviews

Until I recently sampled “Fire And Cream”–the latest scent by Strange Invisible Perfumes–I had no idea modern fragrance had been “dumbed down” to appeal to the masses.  Launched on September 15th, the latest by Alexandra Balahoutis contains a diverse combination of notes that resonated deep within me, as if the scent stirred up memories from a past life.

When I first received a sample, I sniffed the perfume from the bottle and thought “eh”.  Once applied, Fire And Cream comes to life quite unexpectedly.  After I applied the fragrance, I caught myself sniffing my wrists again and again like an OCD-crazed perfume addict!

So, what notes make it so magical?  Top Notes:  Hydro-distilled orange and orange blossom.  Heart Notes:  Tuberose, frankincense, white lavender.  Base Notes:  Vetiver, sandalwood, patchouli.

For the record, I positively believe this fragrance will never be a “volume seller”.  Fire And Cream is a perfume that connoisseurs will embrace, but most will shun.  Personally?  This scent absolutely, positively now ranks as one of my favorites!  It’s just… special.

All scents by Strange Invisible Perfumes are comprised of organic, wildcrafted or biodynamic essences set in a base of 100% organic, beverage-grade grape alcohol.

Retail price is $195 for a 0.15 fl. oz. bottle of perfume, and $145 for a 1.7 fl. oz. bottle of eau de parfum.  Be sure to purchase a tester for $5 from the Strange Invisible Perfumes website before taking the plunge!

Check it out at www.strangeinvisibleperfumes.com or www.beautyhabit.com.
