Bobbi Brown Cosmetics: Artist Lip Palette

I'll confess... I've been positively craving this limited-edition lip palette by Bobbi Brown since I first spotted it. Lucky me, I finally got my hands on one! I swear, I did a victory lap around my kitchen when my Bobbi Brown shipment arrived, containing the Artist Lip Palette.  It's far, far cooler than I even originally thought!

Housed in an 3 3/4 inch by 6 1/4 inch shiny black palette are a whopping total of 42 shades of lip color: 21 shades of Bobbi Brown Lip Color, 11 shades of Creamy Lip Color and 10 shades of Lip Sheer.

Originally launched as part of the Holiday 2008 collection, this beauty is still available. I have to say that it would be a true tragedy were this luxe palette to disappear from the shelves. What an amazing color variety contained in such a portable format! Could you imagine the inconvenience of carrying 42 tubes of lipstick with you, everywhere you went?

Other pros?  I can think of two, right off the bat.  1)  You can custom-blend your color.  2)  If you fall in love with a particular shade and use it up, you can buy it in lipstick-form, and even scrape some off to restock your palette!

Color Me Thrilled! Raging Rouge Mention In Women's World Magazine!

It's pretty rare for me to revisit past reviews on Raging Rouge, but today I'll be making an exception.  Why?  A few weeks ago, I was contacted by Women's World magazine to provide a product idea for women in search of the best shave gel.  My very first appearance in the mainstream media!

It's didn't take long for me to make my selection for the publication.  I originally wrote about EOS (the Evolution of Smooth) in January (click HERE to read my original review).  I've been using this product regularly ever since.

I'm not exactly living a "beachy" lifestyle, so I tested this product in the comfort of my own bathroom.  I applied CARGO's Water Resistant Bronzer on my face, quite heavily.  Then, I leaned over the sink and splashed water onto my skin.  NO STREAKS!  In fact, even with water literally running down my face, this shimmery bronzer stayed put and looked as gorgeous as ever.

Summer Must-Have: UV Sun Sense Wristbands

You're about to read a post covering one of the coolest Summertime sun-protection products!  It will quite literally save your hide.

UVSunSense is a one-time-use bracelet that is worn to detect your level of UV exposure.  Remember when you were a kid, and your Mom would chase you down with the sunblock every couple of hours?  Well, now the wristband will remind you instead!

Here's how it works...  Apply the wristband first.  Then apply your sunscreen (only works with sunscreens of SPF15 +).  Apply your sunscreen as you usually do, but also apply it over the band as well.  When the wristband is exposed to sunlight, it will turn a blue-purple shade to indicate that is has been activated.  When the band is no longer blue, it's time to reapply sunscreen on yourself, and the band!  If ever any part of the band turns a yellow-orange, it is recommended that you cover-up, or get out of the sun to prevent a burn.  Brilliant stuff!

Once upon a time, I thought SPF 6 was a way-too-powerful sunblock.  Each Summer, I would plan my strategy to achieve the perfect tan.  Generally, my method was to tan gradually (to turn the skin a deep golden brown).  Then, when you achieved that tan, intentionally (gasp!) get a bit of a burn on top, to look eternally rosy.

The horror of the damage I intentionally caused!  

Today I avoid the sun as much as possible, and always wear an SPF 50 or higher. Had some form of time travel enabled the teen-aged me run into the adult me on the street, she would laugh cruelly at my pasty whiteness.
