Ordinarily, I pass on Body Oil. Slathering myself in oil generally makes me feel more like a salad than a woman, but the LaLicious formula is different. When I was pregnant with my second child, I invested in two brush sets. One was full-sized… and is still in use today. The other was for travel, and was stashed in my suitcase for my upcoming hospital stay. Both were the same brand, so I had no reason to expect different results from the petite version.
Imagine my disappointment, when the travel-sized brushes fell apart almost immediately! I couldn’t even use them, and they ended up right in the garbage. The term is “Super Female”, but is better known in the medical community as Triple X Syndrome (or XXX Syndrome). The 1 in 1,000 women born with an extra X chromosome typically stand head and shoulders above the average woman, and have a willowy slender physique. I’ve read speculation that that many super-models can credit their thin bodies to the fact that they are indeed “Super-Female”.
The Super-Female immediately sprung to mind when I sampled the latest Kenzo fragrance, FlowerByKenzo Essentielle. The bottle was designed to be extra-tall and super-slender. The scent? A romantic floral with a delicate super-feminine hint of powder.
This latest introduction by KENZO also happens to be one of my favorites, proving to me that this brand is only getting better with age.

Launched this Fall by Avon, this new shade of Nail Wear Pro is a favorite for the Fall and Winter months. There’s something so appealing to me about this muddy, muted, ashy shade of taupe nail color.
Nocturnal is a shade that goes well with everything. It’s deep enough to stand out, without being flashy. It’s dark enough to be a great pick for a pedi, if you’re planning a beach escape sometime this Winter.
Of course, at a mere $5 a bottle, this acrylic enriched nail enamel is a great pick for those on a budget. No formaldehyde, toluene or phthalates!
