Greetings, beauty aficionados!
When I was in junior high, it was common for girls to ask if they could look through your bag. The snooping was partially to pass the time, but was also a way of saying “I’d like to get to know you better. What can I find out about you if I look through your stash?”
As an adult, etiquette prevents us from continuing this behavior, so I’m offering the next best thing! Welcome to the “Best Selling Beauty” feature! The question posed to some of my favorite beauty brands was: “What was your #1 best-selling product from Q1 2010, measured by units sold?” The following products are the “go-to” beauty products purchased by women thus far in 2010. Hope it satisfies your curiosity! If not, it’s a great head-start on gift ideas for Mom!

The second I read about Avon’s latest–Glimmersticks Diamonds Eyeliner–I knew I had to get my hands on the collection for the benefit of my readers! This line of eye pencils adds a bit of rockstar style to Avon’s Glimmersticks Eyeliner. Each color rich liner is served up in the same beloved retractable applicator pen as traditional Glimmersticks, but the shades simply glisten. The super-model thin pencil allows for precise application, but the smudgy formula makes it easy to achieve a smoky eye. This multi-tasking Mom loves the versatility, price tag and glamour of this product!
Launched in March 2010 as part of their High Definition Color collection, Avon Glimmersticks Diamonds are not only amazing eyeliners, they also happen to be extremely affordable.
Retail price $6.
Click HERE to check them out on Avon.com. Scroll down for swatches of all Glimmersticks Diamonds shades!

Black Ice Swatch: Black shade with silver shimmer.
Brown Sugar Swatch: Teak brown with golden shimmer.
Smoky Diamond Swatch: Gunmetal gray with silver shimmer.
Emerald Glow Swatch: Almost-black green shade with green shimmer.
Twilight Sparkle Swatch: A deep blue with blue shimmer.

Love the blackest-black eye makeup you can find? Well, then you’ll love one the latest launch by Bourjois! Liner Feutre Eye Liner is similar to a calligraphy pen. Liner Feutre has an easily controlled felt tip that keeps it’s shape. I’m generally “liquid-liner challenged”, but found this applicator to be an easier, friendlier way for a rookie to achieve the look of a liquid liner. Depending on how you hold the pen, you can draw a smooth razor-thin line, or a thick smoky line. The liner dries lightening fast, and stays put!
Retail price is $17. Click HERE to buy it at Ulta.com.
