Once upon a time, I thought SPF 6 was a way-too-powerful sunblock. Each Summer, I would plan my strategy to achieve the perfect tan. Generally, my method was to tan gradually (to turn the skin a deep golden brown). Then, when you achieved that tan, intentionally (gasp!) get a bit of a burn on top, to look eternally rosy.
