Something I've never mentioned on Raging Rouge is that I am actually obsessed with more that just makeup. In fact, I am currently way too interested in monitoring this train-wreck of an economy, and the stock market in particular.
Interestingly, knowing a thing or two about the market can actually tip you off on trends in fashion and makeup. I've been watching the price of gold tick higher and ever-higher, and realized that since scarcity=status, Gold is going to be smokin' hot this season.
Personally, trends be damned, I've always preferred gold over platinum. There's something timeless and treasured about the yellow metal, so I was thrilled to see Estee Lauder embrace the trend, with their new color collection for Fall 2009, Sensuous Gold.

This is a first for me, as I've never really featured any products specifically as "Back to School" requirements. But when MAC recently introduced the Baby Bloom collection, it immediately conjured images of sunny days on campus in the early Fall.
