But come back, it has! In fact, Spring 2011 is all about metallics of any hue. Many of them with subtle rosy undertones. A great example of this is Estee Lauder Shimmering Bronze Nail Lacquer. Part of the Bronze Goddess Spring 2011 makeup collection, Shimmering Bronze is a gorgeous metallic bronze shade. When the light hits it just right, the rosy hue is very noticeable!

This nail lacquer also happens to wear very well! I’m writing this 10 days after getting a pedicure with this shade, and it’s in chip-free gorgeous condition!

Urban Decay Friends And Family 2011

Jeanius Eye Shadow

At 14, I was already a full-fledged makeup junkie. Some of my very favorite eye shadows were also the ones I never dared to touch, as they were simply too beautiful in their cases! The most gorgeous of the bunch were displayed proudly on my bedroom bookshelf. If I were 14 today, I probably would have added MAC Jeanius Eye Shadow to my display!

MAC Jeanius contains an assortment of four eye shadow shades that pay homage to the fashion staple of modern women… jeans! These cool hues are 2011 relevant with their metallic finish. If you’re looking for subtle color, the shade Diva in Distress applies sheer. The other three are extremely opaque and dramatic!

tarte maracuja oil review I’ve been really into using oils on my face this Winter. Seattle’s perpetual “winter mix” precipitation is absolute murder on my dry skin. Usually my hands are the only victims, but this Winter has forced me to look for some serious healing for my cheeks as well.

tarte’s Pure Maracuja Oil– a recently launched QVC exclusive–is an amazing elixir for this type of suffering. The purple glass bottle equipped with a self-measuring dropper to apply the oil to the skin. The oil feels soothing when applied, and has thus-far helped me to relieve my cheeks of their extreme dryness, and downgrade them to just “dry”. I’ll take it! A three-week consumer study shows that the oil improves the texture of the skin, helps to even skin tone and improves elasticity… among many other desirable qualities. I have my fingers crossed!

The formula is simple. It’s 100% pure, undiluted Maracuja oil. The fruit is hand-harvested by Amazonian women once a year, and the nutrient rich pulp is pressed to extract the oil. (Tell me this doesn’t sound like a story straight from a J. Peterman catalog?!?!?) Maracuja Oil is rich in the essential fatty acids that rebuild and repair skin. It also has a high Vitamin C content!
