In the movie "The Matrix", Morpheus introduced Neo to the rag-tag crew of the Nebuchadnezzar, including a dorky sex-crazed cyber-punk teenager named Cypher who claimed that after a while of staring at streaming Matrix binary code, all he saw was "Blonde, Brunette and Redhead". Funny, but that is how I feel about cosmetics. Sometimes, when I’m looking at product, I immediately think "Oh, this would look AMAZING on a redhead, just not on me."  Perhaps the most delightful surprise of each of these Face Palettes by Bella Il Fiore is that, while my first assumption was that they each would favor a certain complexion and hair color, it turns out they are universally flattering colors for anyone to wear!

The Pretty In Paris collection contains four shades of lush pink eyeshadow (including a deep, dark shade of pink ideal for crease-application), a pink blush, two shades of pink gloss (one pale and one dark) and one clear gloss.  The colors in this palette resemble the lush roses in a bridal bouquet.  My first instinct was that these shades would look great only on a blonde.  But even with my new dark ‘do, I still find myself dipping into this palette.  The pink shades add a cheerfulness and brightness that I love, especially as winter approaches.

Radiant In Rio is a collection of four shades of aubergine shadow that are THE color for Fall.  The dusky mauve shade of blush perfectly compliments the shadows.  The three gloss shades include a deep berry, a brown and a lilac-infused pink.  I originally assumed this palette would best compliment a brunette, but I’ve seen many blondes sporting these purple shadows quite expertly!

Smashing in Soho is a palette of earth-toned shadows, and an apricot shade of blush.  To diversify the look this palette can impart, use the juicy deep pink, bronze or peach glosses included.  Immediately, a redhead sprung to mind when I first spied this gorgeous palette.  But–I must admit–Smashing in Soho is simply a staple.  If you must select only one of these fantasic palettes (though I would equally recommend all three), this would be it!
