Now and Later With sukicolor Pure Cream Stain
I’ve written about Suki Kramer’s beauty products in the past. Suki, who personally battled severe Eczema and allergies to the very high-end skincare she so coveted, launched her own line to ensure sensitive skin looks better when makeup is on… and off.
Free of synthetic ingredients, sukicolor Pure Cream Stain is an amazingly rich pot of cream pigment. Perhaps you have noticed the deeply flushed cheeks paraded down the runways and the red carpet. If you’re in search of a deeper hue to create a more dramatic flushed cheek, sukicolor pure cream stain in "Vermillion" delivers it quite beautifully. Not only does sukicolor’s pure cream stain delivers radiant, glowing color… but hydration!
Come Fall, you can trade the flushed cheeks and use this cream as an amazingly creamy lip color. Pure Cream Stain can be used on both the cheeks and the lips! The burgandy hue is a classic shade– ideal for Autumn.
Suki Naturals is a signer of the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics. Ingredients you’ll never find in sukicolor include: bismuth oxychloride, phthalates, coal tar and lake dyes, parabens and synthetic preservatives, talc, or synthetic fragrance.
Read more about sukicolor on the suki pure website. You can purchase this product for $36.50 directly from the suki site, or you can shop the complete line of sukicolor makeup at Upurea.com.
Being TRUE Luminance Collection Palette

I’m a palette girl– always have been. There’s a certain superior result when the pros personally coordinate the shades you wear on your face, much like hiring an interior designer to conduct a home-makeover. So I couldn’t wait to try Being TRUE’s new limited edition color palette for Spring and Summer 2008.
This amazing compact houses shadow, liner, bronzer, blush and highlighter with a HUGE mirror for easy application on the go. If you’re the type of person who normally carries a huge cosmetics bag, you can replace much of what you carry with this convenient compact. It’s the ultimate in portable makeup! Not sure which colors go where? No problem- the front of the box flips open to reveal step-by-step application guidelines. It’s like color by numbers for your face! The golden and bronze cheek shades give the skin a healthy and subtle glow, while the ripe peach and pink shadows and cheek color are eye-opening and lush.
This limited-edition luminance cache contains the colors inspired (matte peach), enlightened (soft pink shimmer), transformed (rich golden brown), warmth (bronze glaze), elated (gilded pink) and beaming (sheer gold metallic). Retail price of this palette is $86.
Being TRUE products are exclusively sold through high-end salons and spas, including: Nob Hill Spa (San Francisco), Sanctuary at Camelback Mountain (Scottsdale), St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort and Spa (Dana Point), Marriott Doral Golf Resort and Spa (Miami), Hotel ZaZa (Dallas), Restore Spa (New York) and many more!

Body Shop Q&A
I had the opportunity to ask a question of Chase Aston, international makeup artist with The Body Shop!
Jen: What are some tips for achieving the perfect Spring glow, without looking too glittery or shiny?
Chase: While the emphasis was on warm, iridescent opulence last autumn, this spring is about brighter colors for a more feminine elegance. Eyes take center stage this spring, from sheer to smoky, and teamed with swipes of eyeliner from blue, green, brown and black, all complimented with a wash of denim blue toned mascara for both day and night.
In order to create the look for Spring 2008 eyes I suggest the following:
Many thanks to Chase, for sharing this expert advice! Check out the Eye-Shadow Blender Brush, pictured above. Is that the sleekest looking brush you’ve ever seen? Gift idea for Mom: buy her the products selected by Chase, then pass along a link to this post… for her to follow his advice!
